  • West Des Moines show postponed to April 16

    Today's show (12/10/09) at the Picador in Iowa City and tomorrow's show (12/11/09) at the Val Air Ballroom in West Des Moines are postponed/cancelled due to bad weather. For the safety of the band and fans traveling to the show we will reschedule for a later date. The Des Moines show is rescheduled for April 16th. Please contact your place of purchase to assure that tickets will be honored or for ticket refunds. Thank you, Cross Canadian Ragweed

    Holiday of Hope-St Judes

    St Jude Approached us about a great holiday program they are doing to help raise money for the kids at St. Judes Hospital. Please check it out:

    Country Fans Care for St. Jude Kids Holiday of Hope

    As fans look for the perfect holiday gift to give to their favorite artist, How about the gift of HOPE? St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. And St. Jude covers the cost of lodging, food and travel for patients and a family member. This holiday season, we are asking fans and fan clubs to consider donating to St. Jude in honor of their favorite artist.
    No donation amount is too small!

    If a club or individual is interested in sponsoring a particular patient treatment as a holiday gift in honor of their favorite artist, following is an abbreviated list of treatments that can sponsored:

    Physical therapy for one hour: $360
    Chest X-ray, one view: $136 One day of oxygen: $435
    CT scan: avg $4,987 Average cost per inpatient per day: $5,593
    Spinal tap: $274 Platelet count test: $44
    ICU daily room rate (room only): $2,950 An ultrasound study: $1,236
    Complete blood count test: avg. $771

Starting Oct 31st you can call 713-739-8000 to book a room at our special rate ($89 single/double occupancy plus 17% tax). Please book your rooms early; once we have sold out of our block we may not be able to secure more at that rate
